Our beloved mother and grandmother, Yu Ming (Helen) Kwong, 77, passed away on September 24, 2024, after a short illness. She was surrounded by her loved ones at the time she passed.

Helen was born on March 27, 1947, to the late Hong Kwong and Sung Chan in Hong Kong. She was married for 52 years to her soulmate, Kwok Yuen (Gilbert). She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Christine and Margaret & John Sweetman. She is also survived by two grandchildren: Carson and Adele, generally she was spoiling them rotten.

Helen excelled at motherhood and was the foundation of our family, through and through. She dedicated her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother and babysitter. She looked after many children (now grown-ups) throughout her life, some of them became her god-sons and god-daughters.

Helen was also known for her hearty laugh and kind heart. She loved to cook and has always been someone you could go to when you needed to talk. She was the glue that held our family together. She will be missed by her family and those whose hearts she had touched.
