In memory of

Yanyan Chow 曹梁欣欣

July 25, 1974 -  March 10, 2020

On March 10th Yanyan Chow passed away surrounded by the loves of her life; her parents, husband, and 3 daughters. She was a kind and generous person who always gave more than she received to everyone she met and knew. She was friendly, fun-loving, and a caring person. For the past 6 years she has faced ovarian cancer head on and not a day went by that she did not feel truly blessed to have all the love and support from her family and friends. She is now at peace in the arms of God. She is survived by her father, Albert; mother, Irene; sister, Cindy; brother, Jeffrey; husband, Oscar; 3 daughters, Madison, Melissa and Michelle.

Due to public health concerns, please greet each other with a nod instead of a handshake or a hug.
為公衆健康著想,請各位以點頭代替握手或擁抱,表示慰問。

We saw Yan Yan growing up. She always strikes us as a pleasant and polite human being. I am sure she is now in better hands.

Albert and 二嫂,失去孩子當然是錐心之痛,但欣欣現在不用再受病魔煎敖,她一定不希望父母為她過份悲痛,還請節哀吧!

Yanyan, your generosity and kindness will live on in our hearts. I will always be grateful for your advice on marriage and family. I look to you and your family as role models for how to be amazing human beings. Will miss you greatly.

Our deepest condolences to the Chow & Leung family. From what Jeff and Tracey have shared with me about Yanyan, she was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter and sister and she courageous in her fight against cancer. May she rest in peace.

There are 2 things that I will always remember about Yan.
1) When I went through a difficult time in my early 30's, it was Yan who was there to support and pick me up. She dropped her "life" and Oscar and took me away on a vacation in the Bahamas to help me forget and to cheer me up. That's the kind of person she was - so caring and giving - always putting others before herself.
2) she was my matron of honour - without Yan, I wouldn't have had much of a wedding...she planned and ran everything from researching and picking the venues to even creating a keep sake album at my bridal shower (which of course she also planned and ran). I am forever grateful to Yan for creating such a very special day for me. She really is the best. I love her. I will miss her. But I will always cherish her.
Girlies, I want you to know how amazing your mom was.

I am not sure many people know that Yanyan played in the Chinese Adult Hockey League from Sept. 2002 to Sept. 2005. She played left wing for 42 games.  In that 3 years period, she recorded 9 goals and 22 assists.  On quite a few games, she would be cheered on by her fans with "Go Yan" posters.

Her team mates described her as relatively new to the game, but growing by leaps and bounds; improving all phases of her game. An energetic forward with a stellar work ethic, she is also able to chip in offensively. She is durable and dependable at both ends of the ice.

My sister & I are so blessed to have 3 of the best sisters-in-law in the world and my parents have always proudly claimed they are so fortunate to have such wonderful daughters-in-law who get along so well with not just our immediate family, but with the bigger family of aunts, uncles and all the cousins. Yanyan was the most outgoing and sociable; she can relate and have conversations with the youngest cousin to the eldest uncle. Yanyan is the only person I know who can keep up with Catherine during a conversation, sometimes out-speaking her! I personally will miss Yanyan telling me the latest gossip about the Hong Kong/American movie stars at our family get-togethers or during our little trips to the casino with my Mom. We will miss her so much, but she will always live on in our hearts and through the wonderful way she has raised her three lovely daughters!
