"I want to go Home"
This has been the aired repeated desire of mom for so long. She finally went Home on the night of June 20, 2019 just a short time after closing her eyes for her night sleep. Never would I know she would not wake up again. And that is the way she wanted to go Home. Her desire has been granted.

It has been a long battle since she was diagnosed with ALS disease in June 2015. And mom has been a fierce fighter as the disease progressed and gradually took away mobility of both hands and arms, both legs, swallowing ability, loss of speech, breathing ... God has been gracious and spared her further suffering and cut short the atrocities of this unforgiving disease. And she never lost her faith in the God in whom she was entrusting her future destiny. Now she has met her Saviour Jesus face to face, (Oh, glorious time!), unashamed and experiencing fullness of His Love she heard so much about during her ordeal....

The Lord has blessed her with so many 'angels' to walk with her along this challenging journey, for which I and the family are so grateful. Many times, we have been stretched out to our limits and only, taking it just one day at a time, did we manage to make it to the end of the journey.

With much gratefulness, we express our sincere appreciation to so many caring friends and relatives who have prayed with and for her, encouraged and shouldered her all along the way, prepared food and so many goodies for her, brightened her days with flowers, cards, laughed and sung with her.

Our acknowledgement also for all these blessings:

Incredible support from ALS Society with ongoing encouragement, counsels, recommendations, logistics assistance with various equipment

CCAC and MOD that stood by Theresa with provision of caregivers at home to attend to her daily needs

We are thankful to Sunnybrook ALS Clinic and McKenzie Health Hospital and all community OT, PT, dietitian, nurses, palliative doctor who came home and used their knowledge, skills & expertise to support Theresa's ailing body.

Hope House Community Hospice Volunteers for such warm friendship to cheer Theresa every week

And we value so much all spiritual counselors and the army of prayer warriors who have been interceding for Theresa and family and kept the ship on course....

Theresa has run and finished her race with God's enabling. She is now enjoying herself in the 'streets of gold'. Free to walk, to hug, to talk talk talk, to smile and ...travel to all new places.

Theresa, I will always remember your kindness and generosity for opening your home for fellowship. You have a wonderful family and I am so glad that our path has crossed. Our time on earth is short and I am happy that you are finally home with our Father.
May God continue to bless you and your family

Dear Tommy, Marilyn & Family,
Very sad to here of the passing of Theresa. I only met her a couple of times but she always remembered me when I came into the pharmacy. She prayed for me and we had lovely conversations. I in turn said I would pray for her which I did every night for 3 plus years. I now pray for her soul and to rest in peace. Our sincere condolences to the family. May she rest in peace in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ.
