In memory of

Wing Yee Quan 關詠儀

December 10, 1944 -  August 17, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Wing Yee Quan who died peacefully on August 17th, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Mom faced her cancer with quiet courage, bravery and unwavering strength. True to form, she remained outspoken and fiercely herself until the end.

In 1969, she and our father, Ming Long Quan, made the brave decision to immigrate to Canada, building a life rooted in love, hard work and resilience. Together, they ran a family business for over 30 years, a testament to their enduring partnership. Dad predeceased her in 2005, and though the loss was profound, Mom found the strength to rebuild, staying active, volunteering and forging new friendships.

She will be deeply missed by her two daughters, SoMei and SoYing and sons-in-law David and Roman, and by her grandchildren who brought her much joy: her cherished granddaughter Kayla, and her beloved grandsons, Nicholas, Lucas and Christopher. Their presence filled her heart with pride and joy. She will also be sadly missed by her brother Wing Man and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at Pine Hills Cemetery on Friday August 22, 2025. Details: Visitation from 9:00-10:00am. Service 10:00 - 11:00am and Interment at 11:15am.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to the Michael Garron Hospital Foundation in her memory at www.mghf.ca.

I have very fond memories of shopping in Yorkville with your parents and visiting their store, especially when they made my engagement ring over 30 years ago. Whenever I visited Toronto we would always have nice dinners with the extended Quan family.

Sending our deepest condolences to your entire family, from
