In memory of

William Raymond Leigh

William "Bill" Leigh
April 2, 1933 - September 2, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William "Bill" Leigh, who left us peacefully on September 2,2025, after 92 years.

Bill was a most loving, kind, and generous man who was always there for his family and friends. His substantial love for his family was evident by the pride he had for his children, their spouses, and grandchildren.

Bill led a very successful career in food manufacturing and packaging. Eventually, he retired but continued his involvement in the industry through teaching at professional conferences.

His greatest love was his family. Countless number of years were spent camping, sitting by the campfire, and greeting familiar friends each year in Algonquin. When not camping, hosting family dinners and the annual "lobster fest" gave him great pride.

Bill was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mildred and grandson, Colin (Michelle}. He is survived by his loving children, Debra (Ted), Michelle (Lola (deceased}), Brian (Joanne} and Andrea (Mike} as well as his grandchildren Lauren, Jennifer (Matthew}, Nicholle, Meagan (Lukas}. Caitlyn and Lindsey. He will be remembered fondly by his extended family and friends.

Our family extends our heartfelt gratitude to all the staff, nurses, and doctors at Venvi Guildwood Retirement Residence and Scarborough Health Network. They all were instrumental in ensuring Bill's comfort during this last year.

We love you and will miss you very much. You will be in our hearts forever and we will treasure the precious memories that we have shared together. May you rest in eternal peace.

At Bill's request, immediate family will gather together to celebrate his life.

To the Leigh Family,
On behalf of PAC Global and myself I offer our sincere condolences.
I knew Bill back in the day when he worked for General Foods, as far back as the 70's or 80's.
More recently in 2006 until approx. 2015, I worked closely with Bill in his semi-retirement, when he supported PAC, Packaging Association of Canada, as it was known then.
Bill was an incredibly kind and positive man, who was well respected by our team and our members who interacted with him. The world needs more people like Bill Leigh today, more than ever. He was an inspiration to many.

We are heartbroken to say goodbye to the best dad anyone could ask for. He was the heart of our family – always there with a story, a laugh, or a helping hand. Some of my favourite memories are the camping trips to Algonquin, and Niagara Falls, and the family lobster fests where he made everyone feel welcome and loved.
As a grandfather, he continued the traditions we cherished growing up, taking his granddaughters camping and creating memories they will carry forever. He was patient, kind, and fun – always ready for a game of cards or a fireside chat.
Thank you, Dad, for a lifetime of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. You will always be missed, and forever remembered. I love you!
