BRANNEN- WILLIAM “BILL”

BRANNEN, WILLIAM LLOYD - AGE 76, passed away peacefully at Scarborough General Hospital on March 21, 2024.

Born May 14, 1947, in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia Canada, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Anna (Swaine) Brannen. Bill was employed as a warehouse worker for 22 years and as a Superintendent for 16 years.

In his younger days, Bill enjoyed playing golf, weightlifting, and going on fishing trips with his brothers-in- law. He loved listening to Country and Western music, especially while driving around in his truck.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Donna (Gaudet) Brannen; daughter, Shelley; son-in-law,Lee; Grandson, Lucas; Aunt Beatrice Dugas; Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, sisters and brothers-in-law as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, brother, Walter in infancy, sister, Pat (Billy) Crouse, brother, Larry (Helen) Brannen.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses at Scarborough General Hospital for their care and compassion.

Funeral service will take place on Monday April 01, 2024 at Pine Hills Funeral Home from 11:00 am -12:00 noon. Service and Burial -12:00 noon, followed by the Celebration of Life with light lunch and refreshments in the main building.

Memorial donations in memory of Bill, can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Deepest sympathy to Aunt Donna , Shelley , Lee and Lucas .Uncle Billy .. even though it has been many many years since we last saw each other you were someone i always thought about .You and Mom had a bond that was not broken by the many miles apart that you lived ,i remember her saying how the two of you used to hold hands while walking to school when you were young . I remember Dad talking about you guys going hunting and someone falling out of a tree into the snow , that might have been Grampy and not you but it has stuck in my brain and always will. Rest Easy Uncle Billy , love you and always will . <3

When I met Bill immediately he started making me laugh by telling me jokes. Bill and his wife Donna are such beautiful people so kind and generous. I will miss Bill dearly but will always remember his laughter and jokes. Rest in piece my dear funny friend.
