Peacefully on June 10, 2017 at Scarborough General Hospital at the age of 96. Cherished father of Bill, George (Susan), and Lynda (Bruce). Proud grandfather of Michael, Jason, Brad, Andrew, Christopher & Suzanne. Treasured great-grandfather to Julia, Ethan, Nikolas, Payton, Landon, Brooke, Maddison, William & Kathryn. Predeceased by his loving wife of 72 years, Sylvia (nee. Lowes). He devoted 50 years to the Ted Reeves Hockey Association and worked for 38 years at Imperial Oil. His favourite activity was bowling at O’Connor Bowl with the Friendship League until he was 91. His greatest joys were time spent with his family and friends. The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff at Scarborough General Hospital for their care and compassion. Memorial donations may be made to the Toronto Humane Society or Sick Kids Hospital.

My sincerest condolences to my very special friends Suzanne & Chris Piras and all families and their children. I cannot express my sadness at this moment for your grandpa who I adopted in heart as a grandparent when I'd lost mine at such a young age. I was blessed to have yours to take me in as family. My heart just sunk to read this post. Dear lord Heavenly Father reunite this lovely couple in heaven as they are the sweetest, kindest of souls that can be only the most perfect of Angels to be in your presence. Gramps & Nan I know you'll be up there watching your beautiful children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all the ones you love so much ... I will pray for you both and keep you in my heart and the memorable years spent in your home with your sweet, kind hearted grandchildren. These were the best years in my childhood. thank you and rest in peace. Daniela Oztopaloglu and family
