The pictures are wonderful and certainly showcased the great family that he and Auntie Anne started. He was definitely one of a kind and and a man that I always looked up to. He could be a little brusque at times but possessed a heart as big as he was and his family was always his first priority. I was going to post the picture with the Duke but I see you beat me to it! That picture always summed up how I felt about William Cainesl..A guy who rubbed elbows with Hollywood(if even only once) and who I was so proud to call my Uncle..Rest in Peace

Ann and family, sincere condolences on Bill's passing. I have fond memories of your visits to Donkin over the years. I will always remember Bill introducing me to Toronto back in 1967 when I took my first solo trip. I'll never forget him taking me to Maple Leaf Gardens. Please know that you are all in our prayers.

John Wayne
John Wayne's original name was Marion Morrison. Picture taken in front of Varsity Stadium at Bloor and Avenue Road. I took John Wayne there in a Jeep for an interview with Milk Dunnell who was a sportswriter for The Telegram Newspaper. I then took him on a parade down Yonge Street to the Imperial Theatre where they were promoting a new movie called *HATARI* It was made in Africa catching wild animals with Jeep vehicles which were painted gold and black. John Wayne's son Pat Wayne, Elsa Martinelli and Red Buttons were also there. They flew into Malton Airport in a DC3 airplane which was also painted gold and black .
