It is with heavy hearts and a lifetime of love that our family announces the passing of William “Bill” Bloxam. Bill passed away peacefully after a lengthy battle with liver cancer.

Bill was the heart of his family, a devoted husband of 54 years to his beloved wife, Wendy, and a proud and loving father to Melanie (Alwayne) and Marlowe.

He found his greatest joy in being a grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Malikai, Breanne, Jevon, Oshae (Gian), Crystel, Alecia (Claudio), Alex and great-granddaughter Chiara, all of whom brought him immense pride and happiness.

Bill was a cherished son of the late John and Margaret Bloxam. He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings John (Cheryl), Shirley, Bob (Nene), Jim (Pam), Don, Reg (Sheila) Ron (Tosha), predeceased by brothers Charlie and Sam (Nancy). He was also a loving uncle and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

Bill treasured his many friendships. Throughout his illness, his friends brought him comfort and joy through countless phone calls often sharing conversations about his favourite sport, baseball, or the latest news.

He lived his life with a rare and generous spirit, giving his heart freely and touching the lives of everyone who knew him. He had a deep passion for music, his vinyl record collection and took great pride in his career as a condominium manager.

Bill approached life with positivity and resilience, always looking for the brighter side. His familiar words, “But did anyone die?” reflected his perspective and ability to keep things in focus.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Shabeer of Streetsville Medical, Dr. Shin of Credit Valley Hospital, the staff at Care Partners and the many nurses and doctors who provided compassionate care and support throughout his illness.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who loved him.
