Surrounded by his family, William died peacefully at home on Jan 9, 2024. He lived a long and happy life. Proud and independent to the end, William will be greatly missed by his wife Freda, children, grandchildren, friends and family.

William was born in Breznitza (Vatohori), Greece. He immigrated to Canada in June, 1947. Working with his father, William owned and operated the Stem Open Kitchen restaurant in downtown Toronto. He enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time at his cottage. He is survived by his devoted and beloved wife, Freda. He is predeceased by father, Louie, by his mother, Sophie, and by his sister, Dina. He was a proud father to Larry (Helen), Diane (Robert) and Chris (Lynne). He is survived by his cherished grandchildren, Chris (Jessie), Michael (Erin), David, Katherine, Ryan, Amanda, Natalie and Melissa and great granddaughter, McKenna.
