William "Bill" Pulenzas

May 15, 1928 -  January 9, 2024

Surrounded by his family, William died peacefully at home on Jan 9, 2024. He lived a long and happy life. Proud and independent to the end, William will be greatly missed by his wife Freda, children, grandchildren, friends and family.

William was born in Breznitza (Vatohori), Greece. He immigrated to Canada in June, 1947. Working with his father, William owned and operated the Stem Open Kitchen restaurant in downtown Toronto. He enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time at his cottage. He is survived by his devoted and beloved wife, Freda. He is predeceased by father, Louie, by his mother, Sophie, and by his sister, Dina. He was a proud father to Larry (Helen), Diane (Robert) and Chris (Lynne). He is survived by his cherished grandchildren, Chris (Jessie), Michael (Erin), David, Katherine, Ryan, Amanda, Natalie and Melissa and great granddaughter, McKenna. In lieu of flowers, please direct donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Visitation: Sunday, January 14 from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Elgin Mills Cemetery. Visitation, Service and Burial: Monday, January 15, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., Elgin Mills Cemetery, 1591 Elgin Mills Road East, Richmond Hill, ON, L4S 1M9
