MACKIE, Wayne Edward


Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at Centenary Hospital on February 13, 2019 at the age of 76. Loving husband and best friend of Jane. Adored father of Sherri (Frank), Darryl (Hailie), Brian (Yvonne) and Joanne (Artie). Cherished Papa of Lindsay, Alicia, Steve, Brandon, Karen, Matthew, Erykah, Emilie, Elysha, Elayna, Eden, Otillia and Cynthia. Wayne was a great-grandfather of Christian, Lucas, Zachary, Jeremiah and Hannah. Loving brother of Earl (Lark) and Alex. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Evelyn Mackie. Wayne will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He will be fondly remembered for his love of family, the Leafs and Argos, his strong faith, great sense of humour and his hearty laugh. Visitation will take place at CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH on Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 10:15 am until time of Service at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted for Heart and Stroke Foundation or for the charity of your choice. The Mackie family wish to express their heartfelt appreciation to the Coronary Intensive Care Unit at Centenary Hospital for the professionalism, care and compassion shown to Wayne and his family.
