Good morning, I would like to send a message in memory of a very Kind friend. Walter only came into my family through his friendship to my late sister -in -law Jan Thompson. My husband had had a severe stroke in 2001 and Walter arranged sending taped messsges back and forth between Canada and England, He also found books and magazines with interesting stories particularly about Scotland. He sent the most beautiful bouquet when we celebrated our Golden Wedding just before my husband died. After that I was able to travel to Canada to visit my daughter and family and found Walter had become a member of their family. I was so lucky to be included in many outings with my sisters - in -law to theatres and dinners but most appreciated were the trips to so many interesting and beautiful towns and beaty spots in Ontario, many of which included Walters sister Joan. It is sad that Walter was not so well these last few years but he was always cheery when on the telephone. I am so glad I had the chance to see him last September, and, I will always remember his kindness and cheery good nature, in Loving remembrance of Walter from Audrey Pringle xx
