Waldemar Schienke

October 1, 1928 -  January 21, 2017

Walter (Waldemar) Schienke – Passed away peacefully on January 21, 2017 at his home in Richmond Hill, with his wife Hedy, and other members of the family at his side. He has left this earthly home to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, the One he loved to sing about.
He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife, Hedy; daughters Doris (Gary), Sigrid, and Rosemarie (Bentley); son John (Christina), his older sister Eileen, and younger brother Harry.
He was also blessed to be the grandfather of 10 grandchildren, Amy, Andrea, Cole, Logan, Jordan, Julia, Hannah, Matthew, Nicholas, and Tiana.

Friends are welcome for visitation at York Funeral Centre, 160 Beecroft Rd, North York, M2N 5Z5, on Tuesday, January 24th, from 6pm to 8pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 25th at 10:30am with burial to follow.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to “Liberty Corner Mission” (an interdenominational faith mission) would be appreciated. This is the place Walter and Hedy first met in 1963. They continued to enjoy returning to Liberty Corner right up until this past summer of 2016. Please speak with Hedy for further instructions.

I'm so sorry to hear of Waldemar's passing.

I'll always be thankful for all that he was able to teach me about pianos. It was a privilege to be a part of your household for those two years.

May God's grace be with you all during this time of loss.
