In memory of

Vittoria Ritacca

June 19, 1939 -  October 10, 2023

We are greatly saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Vittoria Maria Ritacca.
Maria, as everyone called her, was born in Rende, Italy on June 19, 1939. She was the Sixth of Seven chlidren.
They eventually moved to Alto Monte, Cosenza, Italy where she met the love of here life, Guerino. In 1962 they were married
and moved to France to start a family which in turn brought them to Canada to start a new life. August 16, 2023 was their 62nd
anniversary.
Maria was predeceased by her three sisters Giuseppina, Esterina and Emilia and is survived by her brothers Salvatore, Alfredo
and youngest sister Ida. She is also survived by her husband Guerino, her children Michele and Gian Carlo (Cindy) and granddaughter Rachelle.
Maria and Guerino built a wonderful and loving partnership. Her enjoyment was to see her family happy and well fed. She was also a tyrant when it came to financial stability. Her dream was to own a house with the sense of having happiness, contentment, warmth, love and being secure. With her ability to manage money she was able to save and accumulate enough for their first home.
Even though there were a few bumps with her health, Maria loved her life and her family.
Mom, how empty we feel without you here. No matter how bad things were, we could sit beside you and be at ease... Mom could make you feel loved always. You will be forever missed.
You truly were the Best.

You have our deepest condolences Rino and family. We always found Maria to be a graceful, kind and pleasant person. And we have happy memories of seeing Rino and Maria on their daily walks down the street.
Eternal rest grant unto Maria O Lord, let perpetual light shine upon her and may she rest in peace. Amen.
