In memory of

Violet Lin Tran 陳林芬蘭夫人

February 22, 1970 -  September 9, 2024

It is with profound sadness that the family announce the passing of Violet Lin Tran on September 9, 2024 after a long brave battle with cancer the past 16 months. Violet is now at peace in heaven with her baby boy Qualin.

Violet was the glue of her family, she was a loving wife to her high school sweetheart, Tony of 38 years and married for 26. Devoted mother to Colin, (Qualin), and Carlington. An amazing daughter, sister, sister in-law, aunt and friend to all that knew her. Her family was the sole focus of her life and her children the apple of her eyes.

Violet was also a renowned Cake Artist/Designer and a successful business owner of "The Violet Cake Shop™". Violet was well loved, respected and an inspiration in the cake decorating world. Her creative ingenuity earned her accolades from Cake Masters, Edible Artist Network and Wedding Cake Magazines to name a few. She was an ambassador for Satin Ice as well as a collaborator for her personal "V-Petal Ruffle" mold design for Marvelous Molds. Her proudest achievement is undoubtedly her family and her children.

Violet has left a huge void in the hearts of those that love her and we will all miss her beyond words can express.

A visitation and service will be held on Tuesday, September 17 at Elgin Mills Cemetery & Funeral Centre, 1591 Elgin Mills Road East, Richmond Hill, ON L4S 1M9

To my beloved V💜
I will miss you every day! I lost my confidente and my friend. You always listened to me as I always listened to you. You were there when I needed you 💜 You left a void and no one can replace! I am so lucky to have met you despite the distance! I will always cherish the years we had as friends and I promise to always check on Carli and Colin. We used to laugh about you having Carli (Carlington) and I, having Karli (Karl) ☺️ I will miss your WA msgs that started with 'Psssst are you there?'... to show me pictures of your cake projects and get my input about this or that cake stand 😊 You will always be in my 💜 my dearest V💜 Love you forever! You are now at peace!!
