Vineta died peacefully on September 12th at the Trillium Health Centre in Mississauga in her 90th year. She was predeceased by her loving husband Ojars (2006) and dear son Richard (2015). Vineta was also predeceased by her caring brother Eduards (2012)

She will be deeply missed by nephew Ed Valtenbergs (Krista) and their children Eduard and Emily along with niece Erica Kirby (Pat) and grand nieces Sandra and Kimberley. She will be fondly remembered by Godson Andris and sister Ingrid along with friends Biruta Golts, Biruta Platups and Charles James.

Vineta was born in Riga Latvia (May 19, 1936), then emigrated to Canada in 1950. Originally, she located to Hamilton where she lived and went to school and studied to be a nurse. She then moved to Mississauga where she lived most of her life and spent the balance of her career caring for others as a nurse. She was a proud member of the Latvian Church, while also taking in many cultural events. Vineta also loved travelling.

Interment will take place on Wednesday, September 17th at 11:30 am at York Cemetery, 160 Beecroft Rd. North York, ON. 416-221-3404
