In memory of

Valerie Patricia Ritchie

February 21, 1953 -  August 20, 2021

Passed away suddenly Friday August 20, 2021. Mother to Noelle and Brooke, grandmother to Tiana, Jonathan, Aidan James, Andre, Logan, Brandon, and Brooklyn. Sister to David, Doug, Danny, Rosie, and the late George and Gerry.

Valerie was a kind hearted, loving, caring, selfless person. She loved being a grandmother, and was so proud of each one of her seven grandchildren. Always thinking about them providing gifts for every occasion, ensuring not to leave anyone out. All her grandchildren loved going to grandmas for visits (not just for the treats in her candy jars), and seeing her when she would visit them.

She loved her daughters very much and they knew it, she was always so supportive of each of them, only wanted happiness for them, and always ensuring a gift or something thoughtful for every occasion, always making sure they both were included. Both Noelle and Brooke looked up to her as a mother, friend, and person. Valerie always made sure her daughters were taken care of, had everything they needed and more, especially having someone they could always turn to no matter what the situation.

Valerie was over 30 years sober, an accomplishment she and her entire family are very proud of. She enjoyed her career as an addiction counselor, so fulfilling to be helping others knowing she made a difference in someone's recovery.

Valerie is and will forever be in our hearts, missed and loved very much, and never forgotten.
