Obituary for Ursula Michael

It is with great sadness that the family of Ursula Michael shares her passing at the age of 81 at home with her loving husband Vernon Michael at her side on May 2, 2019.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons Ray and Ken, her grandchildren Kristofer, Sydney and Nidal and her predeceased grand-daughter Rashan and daughter-in-law Gail.

Ursula will also be missed by her sisters and brothers: Jennifer, Ira, Marita, Isla, Eudalane, Joycelyn, Trevor, Terrance, Everett, Lenox and predeceased siblings Lorna and Sadie, her nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

Ursula was a loving and caring mother and grandmother with a zest for life expressed through active participation in her community and church. Ursula was known for her love of sewing, quilting, knitting, playing the piano, painting, poetry, and cooking.

Family and Friends are welcome for viewing, service, burial and reception starting at 9:00 am on Friday, May 10, 2019.

The Michael family wishes to thank everyone for their heartfelt condolences. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated (https://alzheimer.ca/en/Home/Get-involved/Ways-to-donate).

One of Ursula’s favorite verses:

All Shall be Well
And All Shall be Well
And All Manner
Of Things Shall be Well

We were sad to hear of Mrs. Michaels passing. Our hearts ached for both Mr. Michael and Ken instantly. We know Mrs. Michael will be missed and was loved by her grandchidren and many others. May her family find comfort and strength at this time.

Respectfully,
Liann & Rupert Gayle

Ursie was my pen pal while we were in High School. Once we met when she and Vernon came to St. Kitts for part of their honeymoon, we became friends for life. She made my bridesmaids dresses and helped me to get dressed when I got married. She is my first born's godmother and I'm Ken's godmother. She was SPECIAL and will be missed by many. My heartfelt condolences to her family from my family. May her soul rest in peace.

Dear Vernon, Ray and Ken,
David joins me in expressing our deepest sympathy for the loss of a loving wife, mom and grandmother. I have so many precious memories of Ursula, as a neighbour in Antigua and as a friend here in Canada. I am sorry we lost touch in the last few years. Much love to the family, Dianne and David Hope
