In memory of

Ulric Alexander Thomas

November 18, 1930 -  October 26, 2024

Ulric Alexander Thomas, age 93, passed away peacefully on October 26,
2024, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on
November 18, 1930, in Triumph Village, Guyana, to Vivian and Emily
Thomas. In 1955, he married the love of his life, Evril, whom he met by
chance one day at a ravine. They shared many happy years until Evril’s
passing in 1997.
A skilled carpenter by trade, Ulric attended carpentry school and spent
many years building his career in Guyana. He was passionate about music
and dancing, earning the nickname “Sugar Foot” for his impressive dance
moves and frequenting the dance halls whenever he could.
In June 1984, Ulric moved to Canada, where he worked tirelessly as a
kitchen helper at Pat Mario’s Restaurant, known for his dedication and work
ethic, often working 12-hour shifts. In 1997, he retired early to fulfill a
promise to his late daughter, Tessa, becoming the sole guardian of her
three children, Troy, Teressa, and Tenille. Raising them became his
ultimate purpose, and he faced every challenge with strength and
unwavering love.
Ulric remarried in 2001 to Julietta, who passed away in 2018.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience, survived by his seven children: Donna, Lavern, Carla, Loraine, Mark (Dorrett), Adrian (Lorna) and Claudius (Brenda)
25 grandchildren: Neocie, Dexter, Alicia, Mark Jr., Delon, Irwin, Travis, Deanna, Adrian Jr., Allana, Aliyah, Keisha, Keshawn, Keon, Kearra, Junior, Marlon, Nyotha, Onessie, Alika, Tonya, Timothy, Troy, Teressa and Tenille.

He is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren, and a great great-grandchild. All of whom he adored.
Please join us in celebrating the life of our family’s beloved patriarch.

On behalf of our entire family our deepest condolences to you the bereaved relatives children, grandchildren and others. He was such a good and kind man , I will remember our chats as we both would end up encouraging each other from time to time.

In this time of our great loss it is so hard to bear but we need to remember that there is hope for our dead loved ones. Acts 24:15 gives us the.assurance that our dead loved ones will be resurrected.
Faith in God's promises will help us to endure in our time of grief. To all , may we endeavor to seek God's guidance, in
peace , endurance, and strength at this our most difficult time. May God be with us all. Take care Regards to all. Byrl Browne.
