Trifon Anastasiou

February 1, 1937 -  July 28, 2023

After several health issues and a lengthy battle was valiantly fought, Trifon “Terry” Anastasiou finally succumbed to his illnesses, and passed on Friday, July 28, 2023.

Terry was surrounding by his loving family as his soul departed this world to be reunited with God and his heavenly family.

Terry was a devoted husband to Eleni , beloved father of Mary, Sophie (Joel), Bill (Carly) and most cherished Papou to Addison Eleni.

Known for his humour, generosity and love of friends, family, food and fishing, Terry will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

The Anastasiou Family wish to thank all those who helped us and Terry in the past several months. Your support has meant the world to us all. Friends and family are welcome to the service, being held on Thursday August 3, 2023 at 9 a.m.

At this time there will be NO reception following the burial.


The detailed map of York Funeral Centre location is above under the media tab along with a map of the cemetery. The burial will take place in Section 31 Lot 55.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Trifon Anastasiou. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, his children, his grandchildren and his extended family. We send you all our love. Trifon and his wife were always kind, loving, and encouraging. We have fond memories of times our families spent together at picnics, name-days, village gatherings/dances and holidays. Trifon and his wife were always a wonderful, gracious, sweet couple. We thank God for the friendship that began in Petres, Greece and that continued here in Canada. May you all be comforted by the beautiful memories you have of this wonderful man and may the promise of the Lord Jesus Christ that we will be together again one day in heaven give you hope. Our fondest family memories were of our families gathering at Uncle Trifon and Teta Lena's home. Uncle Trifon was in charge of the BBQ and Teta Lena cooked up an enormous amount of food for everyone to enjoy. Uncle Trifon was always interested in how Isaac and Hannah were doing and was happy to see them at our family events.
You will be missed Uncle Trifon.
We love you Teta Lena, Mary, Sophie (Joel) and Bill (Carly and Addison) and are here for you.
