Tomislav Tom Jurkovic

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Tom Jurkovic, of Port Hope, who passed away peacefully on October 2nd, at the age of 79 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Brod Moravice, Croatia, Tom built a life grounded in hard work, laughter, and love. A skilled electrician by trade, he took great pride in his craft and found joy in every project, whether wiring a home or tending to his beloved gardens. His hands were rarely still—always fixing, building, or creating something to make life brighter for those around him.

Tom was known for his warm spirit and generous heart. He had an easy smile, a contagious laugh, and a gift for friendship that made everyone feel welcome. His sense of humour and willingness to help others touched countless lives.

Tom will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Helen, his loving son Paul, daughter-in-law Andrea, and cherished grandson Clark, as well as extended family and many dear friends who were like family to him.

The family takes comfort in knowing that Tom’s kindness and joyful energy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
