So sorry to hear the tragic news of Tom’s passing. He always had a smile and a twinkle in his eye, when talking about his family and motorcycle! As ADM Tom provided sage advice and counsel, he will be missed. Our sincerest condolences.

Tom was a special friend. We met at the Coroner’s Office when he was seconded as Inquest Counsel, and our common interests in many things, including motorcycling, grew into a great friendship. He was so very engaging, well-read and knowledgeable about many things. I learned such a great deal from him. He has left a remarkable impact and lasting legacy in all the areas of his involvement. He will be sorely missed.
Elfi’s and my friendship extended to Esther and his sons, and we were so excited to see them embarking on a new life chapter in their new rural home.
Taken from us at such a young age, may he Rest In Peace.

We were shocked and saddened this morning to learn of Tom’s sudden passing. He was warm and friendly from the first time we met him, and we have fond memories of sharing laughs with him and Esther. Our hearts go out to you Esther, and to your boys. Please accept our deepest sympathies.

I was so saddened to learn of Tom’s death. We worked together as counsel at the Ministry of Labour. He took me under his wing and became a mentor for me during my time in that office. He was a real mensch and I feel lucky to have learned from him. He was kind, intelligent and so much fun to work with. My sincere condolences go to Esther, his boys and the rest of the family. May his memory be only a blessing.
