Despite her age (102) the news of Mom’s death was still a surprise and a shock to me. She had a consistency to life, she was always there, strong willed and determined, and I will miss her.

Her mother meant a lot to Carol and I have tried to maintain a relationship with her. For many years, in our grieving after Carol’s death, this was comforting to us both. More recently I was just so pleased that she was so pleased to see me. Our communication was always difficult due to the language barrier, but we managed and enjoyed the visits.

My own faith has changed a lot since Carol’s death and I am consoled with the knowledge that your mother, your father Carol, and Noreen are together again, as I know your mother wanted.
