In memory of

Tino Udovicic

October 11, 1937 -  September 4, 2023

Celestino "Tino" Udovicic died peacefully at Lakeridge Health Hospital on September 4th, 2023 in Ajax, Ontario, at the age of 85.

Tino is survived by his children; Aldo Udovicic II (Linda Udovicic), Tino Udovicic (Jr.) (Annick Udovicic) and Martina Udovicic (Phillip Drew), and his grandchildren Aldo Udovicic (III), Christian Joey Tai Udovicic, Amanda Sky Domingues, Tino Udovicic III, Nathan Thor Udovicic, Joy Udovicic and his great-granddaughter Ava Udovicic, as well as his nieces Marija and Rozie Udovicic, and his nephews Darko and Frank Udovicic. A special mention of his wonderful friend Edna Guiney.
He is preceded in death by his brothers Aldo Udovicic, Joseph Udovicic and Tone Udovicic.

Tino was born on October 11, 1937 in Krajcar Breg, Croatia (then Italy), to Martin Udovicic and Marija (Skok) Udovicic. He immigrated to Canada in 1962. He worked and was successful in a wide variety of careers from mining in the Yukon, to restaurant ownership in Vancouver, to a gambling club in Australia before ultimately opening a renovation company in Toronto, where he worked for the bulk of his life.

His children and grandchildren remember him as a complicated, charming, and funny man who loved them to the best of his ability. The tragedies of war greatly affected his life.

He was a social individual who loved story-telling and who was highly skilled at renovations of all kinds. His hobbies included travel, fishing, billiards, cards and cooking. He was an active member of his local Legion and pubs where he enjoyed playing cards and other social activities. He got excited when he could go for long drives and he loved nature.

The funeral mass is scheduled for September 24, 2023 at 2:00 at Manresa Jesuit Retreat House at 2325 Liverpool Road in Pickering with a simple reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Tinoโ€™s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Canadian Cancer Society at cancer.ca. Condolences can be left on the memorial page by clicking on 'Guestbook' button (at the top right corner).

The family would like to thank the staff at Lakeridge Health and Chartwell Pickering City Centre for their care during Tinoโ€™s last few months.

Saluti to a larger than life Uncle, dear and unique Uncle Tino. So many memories and lessons left behind, from our first meeting in 1968 when you taught me how to dance, to our last goodbye, and all the dances in between. May your soul rest in peace.
