Thelma passed away peacefully at Providence Villa Palliative Care unit on March 26, 2020 after a short illness just shy of her 94th birthday. She is predeceased by her parents- Pearl Cavendish Sweet (nee Robertson) and her father Wesley Carmen Sweet. She is predeceased by her siblings- Hazel June Roach (nee Sweet), Wesley Cavendish Sweet, and Clifford Robert Sweet as well as her daughter-in-law- Patricia Phayre (nee Mosier). She is survived by her three children- Gary Marshall Phayre (Son), Phillip Robert Phayre (Son), Shirley Phayre (nee Kalaman, Daughter-in-law) and Diana Karen Phayre (Daughter) along with Julie Steenstra (Granddaughter). She was a great daughter, niece, sister and mother to her family and a great friend to her children. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. A private service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Alzheimer’s Society. A big thank you goes out to the medical staff at The Scarborough Health Centre-General Division and at Providence Villa for their compassion and support.
