Philipose Tharayil Philipose (known to family and friends as Kunjumon) was born on January 28, 1945. He was born in Puthuppaly, Kottayam, in the state of Kerala, in India. Philipose was the fourth child of eight siblings. He completed his B.Sc. in Zoology in Kerala and continued to pursue his Masters at the University of Rewa in Madhya Pradesh.

At 8:24 PM, on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, while his family and friends prayed by his side, Philipose peacefully slipped into the presence of his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Husband to the late Mariamma Philiipose, he is survived by his wife Amani, his son Cyril and daughter-in-law, Joanne, his son Jerry and daughter-in-law, Vindhiya, and grandchildren Talia and Serena, Miguel and Javier.
