I had the most unbelievably wonderful experience when, as a law student, I was asked by Ted to submit a proposal for the reformation of the Family Court - resulting in my working with him and his much-loved assistant, Dee Prosser, for the next 2 years (1971-73). He was a kind "father figure" to me and my wife, as well as a mentor and role-model throughout my legal career. I thank him - and will never forget - his generosity and his compassion. Rest in peace.
Dear Judi
So sorry to read of the passing of Ted. You have had a wonderful life together - and I know You and his friends will miss him greatly.
So many adventures - whenever friends or family go kayaking to the Broken Islands I think of our crazy canoe trip together so long ago and recently was thinking of contacting you again. A sad time to make this contact but I
I hope you will think of visiting Vancouver in the future. We will be back in Ontario next June - I would love to see you and the wolfhounds. Aileen
I always enjoyed getting a hug from Ted when I came to visit - such a sweet and gentle man. He will be missed by so many..
I feel privileged to have known Ted. My (deceased) husband and I spent some time with Ted and Judi at both their Guelph home and stayed in their California casita! Ted and Geoff had a mutual love of the piano and Judi and I talked dogs! So sad he is gone.
Dear Ms. Judith Ryan
I was saddened to hear of your husbands passing. I remember his attendences in Kingston i believe in the 70's or 8o's where i believe you two met. Thank you both for your contribution to making Family Law a more gentler kinder event and your late husbands cloth bound book which I as a then young lawyer found invaluable.I was most pleased to see his photo and excellent obituary. All the best for the years ahead!
Sincerely
Bill Bishop
