In memory of
Tasia Kakarelis
May 16, 1970 -
July 22, 2016
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Tasia, on July 22, 2016. Devoted wife of George for 19 years, who loved and honoured her. He was her protector and best friend. She is survived by her parents, Angelo and Joanna Papanagiotou. She leaves behind her sister, Litsa, and her husband, Peter. She was a caring aunt to Michael, Alexia, Teli, and Angela. Daughter-in-law to Danny and Angela Kakarelis. Sister-in-law to John and Cynthia Kakarelis; and Mother Irene. Tasia found pleasure in the simple things in life. She was content to spend time with George, whether it was over coffee, or while walking along the beach during one of their many holidays. Tasia and George were a match made on the dance floor, and they stayed partners during their lifetime. Tasia enjoyed play time with her nephew, Michael, and was thrilled with the recent addition of baby Alexia. She loved music and could dance until the close of every party. Tasia's smile, innocence and good heart drew people to her. Her goodness shined through her, and she touched all our lives. Tasia will be greatly missed by family, relatives, and friends. She will never leave our hearts. Visitation at the PINE HILLS CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough (north of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-8229) on Tuesday, July 26th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service on Wednesday, July 27th at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 30 Thorncliffe Park Dr, East York at 11:30 a.m. with interment to follow at Pine Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CAMH.
Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live'
