In memory of
鄭埭新Tai-Sun (Alan) Cheng
November 29, 1956 -
April 27, 2024
Alan, beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2024.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mira, his devoted children, Lyonne and Julian, and his cherished grandson, Jordan.
Alan was a man of boundless energy, always on the move and never one to sit idle. A true "busybody" in the best sense of the word, he was always eager to lend a helping hand and tackle any challenge. There wasn't a project he wouldn't undertake or a task he wouldn't complete, especially when it came to his family. Beyond his active spirit, Alan was a culinary master. His recipes were legendary, a source of constant praise and endless requests. His love for music and movies was infectious. Some of our most treasured memories are movie nights spent together, laughing as his smile lit up the screen during a particularly funny scene.
For eight years, Alan battled Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) with unwavering courage. He faced the disease with the same determination he brought to everything else in life, never one to complain.
Though his absence leaves a void no words can fill, his presence will forever be felt in the hearts of all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 19th, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at York Cemetery and Funeral Centre (details below).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Alan's memory can be made to the PSP Society of Canada: https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/100602
