<div itemprop="description">Age 85 of Scarborough, ON. It is with sad and heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, Susan immigrated to Canada with her husband and son in 1957 where she worked for many years at the Independent Order of Foresters. She is fondly remembered for her care and concern for others, unlimited generosity, and her dry Scottish wit. Susan leaves behind her only child, Keith Michael Cossey (Penny), Halifax, NS; her two grandchildren Alyson Rae Cossey, Halifax, NS, and Sean Michael Cossey, also of Halifax, NS; sister Elizabeth Kennedy, Toronto, ON, and brothers Robert Amos, Scarborough, ON, and James Amos (Margaret) North Yorkshire, England; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. Susan was predeceased by her first husband Walter Sidney Cossey of Norwich, England, and her second husband James Pender, of Glasgow, Scotland; her parents Susan and William Amos, and brothers; John Amos and William Amos. Words cannot express our gratitude to friends and neighbours, especially Angus and Gerry for always being just a phone call away, and to Nancy and Cindy for their ongoing love and kindness. Thank you as well, to all who have shown their care and concern through phone calls, e-mails and cards. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre, North York, ON. Donations in Susan&rsquo;s memory may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Condolences may be expressed by visiting: www.mountpleasantgroup.com. A memorial service and reception to celebrate her life is to take place on Saturday, December 13, 2014 starting at 2:00 pm at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre, 275 Lesmill Road, North York, ON.</div>
