In memory of

Susan Elizabeth Wagner

May 27, 1963 -  February 23, 2024

Susan Wagner (nee Callon) - May 27, 1963-February 23, 2024

It is with deep sadness to report the peaceful passing of Susan Elizabeth Wagner on February 23, 2024 at her home from her over 8-year battle with Stage 4 Breast Cancer. Susan was 60 years old.

Susan was predeceased by her mother Marjorie Callon and is survived by her husband Tony, son Ryan (Alison), daughter Amanda, grandson Mason, and brothers Mark and Glen and their loving families.

Our family is thankful to the nurses, staff and volunteers at the North York Hospital cancer care clinic and in particular Dr. Vivian Glenns and most recently Dr. Amanda Li.

Susan was a joy to the world and the many people she touched with her smile, care and endless love. Susan’s passion was teaching and helping young children as she obtained her Early Childhood Educator certificate and then worked in several kindergarten classrooms in the Toronto District School Board. She will also be remembered and loved by the congregation at Westview Presbyterian Church.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 28 from 5:30-7:30 pm at the Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre (375 Mount Pleasant Road Toronto Tel: 416-485-5572 which is located off of Mount Pleasant Road south of Eglinton Ave East).

A Celebration of Life will be held at the same location on Saturday March 2 starting at 11:30 am. There will be an additional visitation 1 hour prior to the Celebration for those who want to pay their respects but cannot attend the ceremony.

For those who want to attend the Celebration remotely, an online link will be made available 10 minutes before the Celebration: www.mountpleasantgroup.com.

Interment of Susan’s ashes in a niche at Mount Pleasant Cemetery is to take place at a later date.

Memorial donations are welcomed in lieu of flowers to the North York General Hospital Foundation (nyghfoundation.ca).

Dear Tony, Ryan, Amanda, Mark & Glen,
We are saddened to learn of Susan's recent passing. She was a warm and caring soul with a beautiful smile - a wonderful next door neighbour. Her kindness and hospitality were felt by all who had the privilege to step into her home for a meal, chat or a cup of tea. May your many wonderful memories of Susan and her deep love for each one of you help sustain you during this difficult time.

Such a good friend, put her own needs aside to help with yours. Even the week she left us she was checking in to find out my test results and cared about what was going on. Whether we were going to the spa, having High Tea, lunch, Timmies or home parties she was always a joy and fun to be with.
Her family was her first priority and would do anything for them. Her children were her life and she loved them with all her heart. She was so proud. She said she couldn’t believe all that Tony gave up and supported her through this whole illness. She felt very blessed to have her family.
Susan was always just a call away and she will be so missed. ❤️
