In memory of

Susan Bond

June 4, 1953 -  June 11, 2025

It is with great sadness that the family of Susan Bond announces her passing on June 11, 2025, at the age of 72.

Susan will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Amber Dankwardt, Kellie (Ted) Simmons, and Courtney (Stefan) Hermann-De Smit; her grandchildren Savanah, Chase, Ophelia, and Gabriel, who brought joy and purpose to her later years; and as a loving sister to Nancy Hickinbottom, Linda (Peter) Dux, and David Bond.

Throughout her life, Susan was known for her resilience, independence, and fierce determination. She faced life’s challenges with grace and steadfast resolve. She embodied integrity, inspiring those around her through her unwavering character.

She will be remembered not only for her honesty and fortitude but for the enduring love she gave to those around her. Her legacy lives on through her children and grandchildren, who will carry forward the lessons and values she instilled.

A private service will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Susan’s memory to the Daily Bread Food Bank.

“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil,
for you are with me.”
— Psalm 23:4

Liefs, Tita

I’m so deeply sorry for your loss. Over the many years I’ve known you, I came to know your Mom as a strong woman—someone who faced life with honesty and resolve. Though I wasn’t close with her, I always admired the quiet strength and grace your Mom carried. Her smile was kind and she raised some of the most wonderful, resilient women I’ve ever known.

Please know I am holding you all in my heart during this incredibly difficult time. I hope you find comfort in the beautiful memories you shared, and in knowing how loved and cared for she was to the very end. May she rest in peace.

With love and sympathy,
Meggie
