Sam Sung-Hong Chiu (趙崇康), 61, passed away August 30, 2018, following a battle with liver cancer. He passed away at the Palliative Care Unit at Sunnybrook hospital, with his wife, daughter and son by his side.

He was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed watching Chinese dramas and making home renovations.

Sam is survived by his wife of 29 years, Elsie and his children, Jessica and Jeffrey.

Sam was born on June 18, 1957 in Hong Kong and moved to Toronto in 1972. Sam was employed by Delta Hotels for 36 years as a cook at their rooftop restaurant, Sagano.
