In memory of

Sum Tai Foung

June 5, 1916 -  May 23, 2017

It is with great sadness that we announce that Mrs. Sum Tai Foung passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning 23rd May 2017 following a brief illness. She was also known affectionately as Mrs. Leong Dick to others in her home town of Kimberley, South Africa. Sum Tai spent her last years at Sunrise Retirement Home and Mon Sheong Long Term Care Centre.

She would have been 101 years old in June, so she certainly lived a full and happy life. Sum Tai is survived by her son Jack, daughter-in-law Kit, daughter Shirley, son-in-law Ken and ten grand-children and ten great-grandchildren.

Special thanks to all the staff at Sunrise and Mon Sheong who cared for her and to the staff at Mackenzie Health who treated her in her final days.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life on Friday 26th May, 2017 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Funeral Centre located at Elgin Mills Cemetery, 1591 Elgin Mills Road East, Richmond Hill. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Mon Sheong Foundation or a charity of your choice.

Funeral and burial service will take place on Saturday 27th May, 2017 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Elgin Mills Cemetery, 1591 Elgin Mills Road East, Richmond Hill.
