January 6, 1931 - September 9, 2018

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved father, Sukumar Banerjee. He passed peacefully at 7:12 am on September 9th, 2018. He was a kind and gentle man who loved his family, his friends and especially good food! My father was an inspiration to all who knew him. He is survived by his devoted wife, Dipali Banerjee, his children Subrata, Helena, Sutapa and Anil and his four grandchildren, Jordan, Avani, Dylan and Ariana. He will be desperately missed.

On behalf of my wife and me, we convey our deepest condolences to the family on the departure of dear Sukumar Da. During my long association with him through the Vedanta Society of Toronto, where we both served as Trustees, he provided me with guidance and inspiration at all times and I can never forget him, his love and affection.

As per our belief according to Sri Ramakrishna philosophy, he has not undergone "death". His soul has merely passed on to another phase ready to begin a new existence.

We convey our heart-felt condolences to Mrs Banerjee and all in the family.
Mr Banerjee was a true gentleman with a kind heart. We knew him for many years at the Vedanta Scocierty of Toronto, where he was a member of the board of trustees We visited him last time when he resigned from that position for health reasons.
We pray that his soul lives in peace and etrnal bliss in the Ramakrishna-Loka.
