In memory of

Suk Fong Scholastica Chan - 楊陳淑芳夫人仙遊

September 1, 1946 -  June 10, 2025

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Suk-Fong Scholastica Chan Yeung 楊陳淑芳夫人, who left us peacefully on Jun 10, 2025 at the age of 78. Our mom lived a life defined by unwavering devotion and a boundless capacity to care for others. Born in Guangzhou in 1946, our mother lived in Taiwan during her childhood and later moved to Hong Kong. A proud graduate of True Light Primary School and St. Paul’s Secondary School (SPSS), the same schools her children would later attend, she remained deeply connected to her roots and childhood friends throughout her life.

At the age of 21, she married our father, Yu-Cheong Stephen Yeung, beginning a partnership that would span decades and form the foundation of a warm and nurturing family with three children. Her greatest joy was her family. She poured her heart into raising us, always putting our needs before her own. Whether it was staying up late to accompany her struggling school kids, to help with school projects, diving into art homework with enthusiasm and creativity, or caring for our grandmother, she never hesitated to go the extra mile. Her hands were always busy — crafting, planting, or arranging flowers — and her heart was always open.

She is survived by her spouse Stephen, her children Constance (and her spouse David Simons), Ann, and Roger (and his spouse, Ivy Lam), as well as her brother Kwai-Leung 季良 (and his spouse Wai-Ching 慧晶), her nephew Eric Chan (and his spouse, Twinnie), and her grandchildren, Skyler and Sierra, who will carry her loving memory forward.

We will miss her deeply, remember her always, and honor her by living with the same grace and generosity she showed every day.

Dear Yeung Auntie,
Thank you for your precious companionship over the years. You are always the first one to send me holiday wishes in advance and I always want to first share with you the pictures of my floral arrangements as I know your love for flowers and you will enjoy seeing them. I know you are at a better place now, where there is no suffering from illness and no more worldly burdens. You will be missed dearly with profound memories.

Love,

Irene

Dear 姑媽,

The moments we share in life, both meetings and farewells, can pass in the blink of an eye—sometimes leaving us with no chance to say goodbye. I still remember the summers of my childhood, spending joyful days at your home, feeling the warmth of your love and care as if it were just yesterday. Even though distance separated us, your concern for our lives and future never wavered.

I believe you have now embarked on a journey to a place filled with peace and happiness. It has been an honor to be your nephew, and I will always cherish the bond we shared. This is not a final farewell—we will meet again someday.

With love,
Eric

Though I haven’t met 姑媽 in person, her loving and caring nature shines through in Constance and Roger. Their kindness and compassion are a testament to the precious legacy she has left behind.

I will always remember the story Auntie Scholastica told at Roger's wedding - how proud she was in introducing Ivy to Roger!

Please accept our heartfelt condolences. May Uncle Stephen, Constance and David, Ann, Roger and Ivy find peace and comfort in memories of Auntie.

With sympathy,
Carol and Daniel
