In memory of

Suet Fun (Heidi) Ho 陳何雪芬夫人

October 3, 1964 -  October 19, 2024

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Suet Fun (Heidi) Ho on October 19, 2024, shortly after her 60th birthday. Born in Hong Kong on October 3, 1964, Heidi grew up in a small family of four and was an outstanding student at Pooi To Middle School in her early years.

In the summer of 1989, she visited her brother, Ronny, who was studying in Toronto, Canada, and by chance, she met her husband, Chan Chi Kin, leading to a long-distance romance. They got married in Hong Kong in 1991 and later moved to Toronto, Canada. Together they built a family that became her life’s pride and joy. After moving, she continued her career as a merchandiser. In 1995, she gave birth to a daughter, Florence, and in 2000, a son, Calvin, whom she raised with great care and love.

Heidi found happiness in baking, gardening, and Saturday dim sum with her family, and cherished every playful moment with her little dog, Junior. A devout Christian, she found strength and peace in her faith throughout her life. In the face of countless challenges, she worked tirelessly to ensure that those around her could live comfortably. She was a believer in Jesus from a young age and was baptized as a Christian at the Scarborough Chinese Alliance Church during Christmas in 2023.

In July 2023, she was diagnosed with late-stage lung cancer. With the support of her family and friends, she bravely fought against the disease with optimism, until she returned to the embrace of her Heavenly Father on October 19, 2024. We hope she finds happiness in the Kingdom of Heaven and that one day she will reunite with her family.

Heidi is survived by her husband, Chan Chi Kin; her children, Calvin and Florence (Christopher Huang); and her brother, Ronny (Carmen). Her memory remains a blessing to all who loved her.
