"Stan the Man", was introduced to me at one of the first motorcycling group rides I attended in the summer of 2013. From then on, there were so many rides I enjoyed with Stan in attendance. Helpful and welcoming, he was always quick with a hug and an easy laugh. He was a decent man with a quiet way and a good sense of humor. He will be so very missed. Deepest sympathies to his family and close friends. May Stanley rest in peace.

Most people never really knew the real man that Stanley Pon was. The man under the tough skin.
Stan was a truly humble, giving and caring man. Always there for family and friends.
A few years ago, after a dinner out, I got a phone call from my brother, who was in Toronto for an important court case. He realized he had left some important papers back home, in Kingston. Without hesitation Stan offered to drive him to retrieve his briefcase. Leaving at almost midnight, we drove through the night, to Kingston and back, arriving back home, after 7am. He never spoke of it again. It was just something one did for their family.
By the way, the court case was a success.
