In memory of

Stamata "Matina" Koromilas

March 25, 1935 -  October 21, 2025

Surrounded by her family, Matina died peacefully on October 21, 2025 at Mackenzie Health Hospital at the age of 90. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 59 years, Konstantinos and their two daughters Mary (late George Philipopoulos), and Vivian (George Chilakos). She was a proud and devoted grandmother “yiayia” to Samantha, Nicholas, Niko, Kosta, and Aliki. Her friends and family will remember her as a generous, caring, big hearted “straight shooter” who lit up a room with her infectious smile.
May her memory be eternal.

Memorial will be held on Thursday October 30th at St. Panteleimon Church in Markham. Visitation 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and Burial to follow at Elgin Mills Cemetery Richmond Hill (Section 3).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mackenzie Health.

Her love was as abundant as her cooking, and her honesty as strong as her hugs. She was one of a kind, and she’ll be deeply missed. Our sincerest condolences
