In memory of

Spyridion Armenis

November 15, 1939 -  January 12, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Spyridion (Spiros) Armenis. He was beloved by his friends and family. He grew up close-knit, with his two loving brothers, the late Dimitri Armenis (Ritsa) and Kosta Armenis (Anna). He was a loving husband to Maria Armenis (née Stavraki) whom he shared 50 years together. During those years, he became a father to John & Maria Dimopoulos, Effie Tsafatinos, Peter & Eleni Armenis and Esther & George Farsalas. He was a proud grandparent to nine grandchildren, Frances, John, Kosta, Evelyna, Ellie, Danny, Alexandro, Maria and Peter.

Spiros was born on November 15, 1939 in Corfu, Greece. His childhood can be described as humble and full of adventure, as he spent time travelling and working in Italy, Germany and Egypt. He spent time in the Greek Army and was proud to serve for his Country. He immigrated to Canada, settling into the Greek area in Toronto, remembering his homeland but setting roots in a new Country. He was a hard worker, and very good with his hands; crafting multiple pieces of furniture and home additions by himself. He loved company and never pass up an opportunity to crack a joke or tell a story. He was at his happiest when he spent time with his wife and making memories with his family.

He will be missed by many. May his memory be eternal. 🕊️
