My father was born in Zhelevo Greece in 1916 and died in Toronto at 99 yrs.of age. His mother Katherine’s brother was Foto Tomev. My father’s uncle Foto graduated from the art College of Ontario and was very active in starting up the Macedonian Village Place, where he and his wife Dimka lived until their passing.

I wonder if Sophie Vasileff was a relative! She looks very much like my Baba did.
It’s always good to find family 😊

We remember Sophie as a welcoming and cordial vivacious lady and how my mother always spoke highly of her. I will always remember a story she told me how she met my Mother and Brothers on a journey from their Macedonian villages destined for CANADA and their apprehensions on a ship during World War 2.
May SHE REST IN PEACE.
