黃譚素玲太夫人 Soo Ling Wong

April 11, 1931 -  July 21, 2017

Mrs. Soo Ling Wong, beloved wife of the late James Wong, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2017 at the O'Neill Centre in Toronto. Born April 11, 1931 in Guangdong Province, China. She was the owner and founder of Soo Ling Beads and Beading Co. and contributed her talents to the likes of Skate Canada and CBC. She will be dearly missed by her 6 children: Cecile Toye (Baldwin), Irene Wong (Eddie), Diana Seto (Gordon), Susan Wong, Raymond Wong (Tomoko), and Nelson Wong. Proud Grandmother of six to Brandon, Corey, Alison, Geoffrey, James and Adam, and Bella the dog. Many thanks to the O'Neill Centre for their care and compassion to our Mother. Viewing and Funeral will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Pine Hills Funeral Centre. If desired, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Sorry for your loss and family's, extended family. Hugs.
I appreciate my friendship over the years and years and years. Alot of years. I gave your mom many chuckles like Playing mah Jong. I was so bad at the game she started wondered if I was really asian. She could tell when i collected number tiles. In return seeing her laugh out loud was rewarding. I have memories with your mom and you must all remember your precious moments to carry you for times when you miss her. My thoughts are with you all.

My condolences to you all. I have fond memories of visiting Aunties house in Toronto and playing hide and seek with my siblings (Eva, Danny & Timmy) with you guys amongst all the bags of beads while our parents played mahjong til the wee hours.
She will be missed, sorry for your loss.
