It is with tremendous sorrow that we must announce…

Son Huu Phan, at the age of 62, passed away unexpectedly on Sept 26, 2023 surrounded by loved ones.

Son was born on Dec 15, 1961 in Bac Lieu, Vietnam. His father’s name was Phan Huu Quoi and his mother’s name was Tran Thi Hoa. When he was just 17 years old, he came to Canada in the eighties to start a new life.

Son’s hobbies included watching soccer games on the TV where he would always get so excited for any FIFA World Cup tournaments. He also spent his leisure time going to try different food places to eat, especially sharing and enjoying delicious dinners with his beloved family members.

Son is survived by: his wife Van Nguyen whom he got married from Jan 2, 1990 and his two children their daughters, which they welcomed and raised together, oldest Christina Phan born on Sept 1, 1995 and youngest Cathy Phan born on Nov 15, 1996.

Son was a selfless, hardworking, and generous man. His good funny loving personality will surely be missed by so many. He will be remembered as a wonderful friend, uncle, brother, husband and above all else the best amazing father there can be.
