In memory of

Simon Chi Ming Lo

October 9, 1954 -  April 17, 2024

With heavy hearts, the family of Simon Lo announces his peaceful passing, surrounded by his loved ones on April 17, 2024. Simon was born in Hong Kong to Keung Lo and Shun Mun of China.

At the age of 17, Simon ventured to Alberta to pursue a Bachelor of Computer Science. Throughout his career, he achieved remarkable success and made significant contributions in the IT industry, eventually retiring as an esteemed IT executive. Simon's journey led him to marry his cherished wife, Wendy, with whom he raised two children: Serina and Kevin. He found joy in weekly gatherings with friends for spirited games of mahjong and cherished family travels around the globe. Eventually settling in Toronto, Simon embraced a vibrant community of friends and relished exploring the city's diverse culinary offerings.

Simon is survived by his devoted wife, Wendy; his daughter, Serina, and her husband, Greg, along with their grandchildren, Mason and Aidan; his son, Kevin, and Kevin's wife, Cathy, along with their granddaughter, Kaylee. He is also survived by his siblings Oi Yuk Lo, Chi Sing Lo (Suk Yee), Chi Wai Lo, and his cherished niece and nephews.

His absence leaves an irreplaceable void in our lives. Simon was cherished by all who knew him, and his memory will forever be etched in our hearts. Although we grieve his loss deeply, we take solace in knowing that he is now at peace in the embrace of his Heavenly Father. Simon's legacy will endure through the memories we hold dear and the example of his finest qualities that we strive to emulate.

Simon was truly one of the great people with whom I’ve worked…tremendously hard-working and intelligent, but always had a smile on his face, even during challenging times. I will remember him fondly and I hope his memory will be a blessing to you. I know it will be for me.
