Simmons Nancy Elizabeth

August 17, 1946 - May 16, 2023

Nancy Elizabeth Simmons daughter of Betty and Jack Reid passed away on May 16, 2023. She was taken far too soon and has left a large hole in the hearts of all who knew her, especially her son Jeremy, daughter Sydney and grandchildren Hanna, Hudson and Andrew. She is survived by her beloved brothers Fraser and Barry. We are very grateful for the care she received in her final days at Michael Garron Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations to Michael Garron Hospital would be appreciated. Nancy dedicated much time in recent years as a volunteer at Michael Garron as librarian, NICU baby cuddler and on the volunteer board.
A celebration of life is being planned for later this summer.
Nancys ashes will be buried alongside her mother at the Erskine Cemetery in Pickering.

I am so sorry to hear of Nancy's passing. Our friendship dates back to Kindergarten days and spans 7 decades. Although we were far apart once I moved to Saskatchewan there was a group of 9 women who kept in touch over the years at Christmas, for birthday wishes and get- together whenever we could and Nancy was a special part of this wonderful group. So many memories come flooding back. Please accept my sincerest condolences and know that many share your sadness and grief.
