In memory of

Shirley McKay

February 8, 1932 -  August 17, 2021

McKay, Shirley Jean (McMenamie) - It is with profound sadness that we announce her sudden passing on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 in her 89th year. She will be greatly missed, loved and always remembered by her husband Donald of 62 years and her three children Don (Sandy), Shirlene (John) and Peggi Jean (Cos).

Shirley was born and raised in Toronto and always shared fond memories of working at The Telegram Newspaper in the 1950's. Pine Hills Cemetary holds a special place in her heart as she regularly visited many relatives over the years including her brother, Ken McMenamie a War Veteran that she dearly missed.

"There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they are gone the light remains." You will be forever in our hearts and may you rest peacefully.

In lieu of flowers we kindly ask you to make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.

To honour Shirley's wishes, there will be a small visitation on Friday August 20, 2021 from 11-11:30 am.

I feel blessed to have met this wonderful lady’s dear child (Shirlene) a few years ago. My heart breaks for the family and loved ones who continue on life’s journey without this precious woman’s presence. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by those who knew her. My family and I will hold all in our thoughts and prayers. May God have a hand over you to provide strength and comfort.
With all our love,
The Gordons
