After 56 wonderful years of marriage, Don and Shirley are together again. Loving parents of Gavin (Wendy) and Tracey. Proud grandparents of Garner (Shaylynne), Gillian, Austin and Bailee. Shirley is survived by siblings David (June), Sheila (Mike) and Karen (Pete) and Donald by siblings Bev (Julie), Linda (Jack – predeceased) and Ron (Kym). They will be lovingly remembered by their many nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends. In their spare time, Don and Shirley enjoyed surrounding themselves with the love of family, travelling every chance they had and cheering on their beloved Blue Jays. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 3 pm – 6 pm at THORNTON FUNERAL CENTRE, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, 905-579-6787 (South of Taunton Road, enter through gates off Dryden Blvd.). Donation can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
