Bowles, Shirley Ann (Nee Whybrow) –
With heavy hearts, our family announces the loss of our loving mother, grandmother, and “Gigi” on Thursday July 19, 2018 at the age of 78. Predeceased by her husband David, and later by her partner, Russell Wilson. “Best Mom in the World” to Karen Hammond, Lori Rivest (Paul), and “little” Shirley Bowles (Michael Darby). Fun-loving Grandma to Derek, Paul Michael, John, Martha and Mike. “Super Gigi” to Chase, Colton, Maverick and Nash. Daughter of the late Malcom and Laura Whybrow. A special thank you to the outstanding staff at Arbour Trails in Guelph for the dedicated and compassionate care they gave to Mom, and for the considerate support they gave to the entire family. Mom loved golfing, curling, fashion, fine food and travelling. A Celebration of Shirley’s life will be held at PINE HILLS CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough (north of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-8229) on Tuesday July 24th, 2018 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Dear Shirley, Karen and Lori
Your Mum has been missed especially on the golf course and I am sure she will find some fairways and greens wherever she is now - and probably a “mudslide” or glass of champagne to celebrate the transition from this world. We always had a lot of laughs and fun when whenever we were away for a girls golf outing - which usually included shopping! Happy memories!
Love and hugs to all of you and your families.
