In memory of

關尚賢 Sheung Yin Kwan

November 3, 1934 -  March 29, 2021

On Monday March 29, 2021, Sheung Yin Kwan, loving husband and father of 2 sons, passed away at the age of 86. Sheung Yin was born in Hoiping, Canton, China, on November 3, 1934. He was the eldest of 4 siblings, with 2 older step-sisters. He worked his way to Hong Kong where he met and married his loving wife Ngan Yau and celebrated the birth of their 2 sons, Kai and Mun. In 1975, leaving his successful career as a professional tailor in Hong Kong, he led his family to Canada to forge a new beginning with hopes of new opportunities for his family. All his dedication and labours have come to fruition with the establishment of new roots for his family in Toronto.

He enjoyed reading his newspaper, at dim sum or at home, bantering with friends and family about the politics of the world or the latest stock tips. He enjoyed his time travelling around the globe with his family. Enthralled by the different ways of life and foods around the world, his travels counted Egypt, Australia, Singapore, London, Paris, Hawaii, and all parts of Asia, Europe and North America.
He is fondly remembered by his grandchildren Jamie, Collin, Keira and Maxwell.

A private family service will be held at York Cemetery and Funeral Centre on April 5, 2021. In Sheung Yin’s memory, donations may be made to:
North York General Foundation https://nyghfoundation.ca/ or
