In memory of

Sherri Snaith (nee Schommer)

August 16, 1977 -  October 24, 2025

Sherri left us way too soon; she was only 48 years old. She had so much love and life left in her and we were all recipients of it. All of her immediate family, extended family, friends and co-workers are devastated that such a bright light is gone from us.

Sherri leaves behind her husband Paul, sons Bryce and William, her mother Christine Penn (nee Bodnar), in-laws Carolyn (nee Walker) and Walter Snaith and her many relatives in Alberta, Ontario and the U.S.A.

Sherri was always a live wire and had a take charge personality. She brought joy into everybody’s lives she touched. As an Early Childhood Educator in the Toronto Catholic School Board, she was well loved by her co-workers and students. Sherri always loved children and was a great teacher. Her young students not only grew to respect her but they also grew to love her.

Sherri was such a warm and caring person and was one of those rare people who drew you in and wanted to be her friend. We all relied on her to organize us and she worked very hard to give her beloved boys and husband a warm and loving home. If you ever needed a hug, Sherri was ready to give you one.
Thank you to all those who have shared their stories of how Sherri touched their lives and how she made them smile.

Visitation will take place at Pine Hills Funeral Centre, 625 Birchmount Road (north of St. Clair Ave E.) on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. -2:00 p.m. Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with a livestream starting at 1:45 p.m. for family and friends who are not able to attend in person.

In lieu of flowers, please consider giving restaurant or grocery-store gift cards to help Sherri’s husband and boys as they learn to cook for one another as they navigate this difficult time.

I've worked alongside this beautiful woman for sometime. She was indeed a "live wire" but the bestest kind!! She always brought a very positive vibe to the school and ofcourse the classroom she was in. Not only the positive vibes but she always had these fabulous ideas and great conversation. This horrible news has touched the hearts of all who knew her at St Brigid Catholic School.
Society has lost an absolute amazing person like no other, her family has lost a beautiful mother and wife but they have gained a guardian angel ❤

Sherri has been on my mind since the day of her accident, not to mention Sherri's mom, Paul and the boys. When I heard what happened I was in shock and couldn't believe it.

I would always joke with Sherri that she would "always be older than me", Sherri being the oldest grandchild before I was born. I'm fortunate that my family and hers got to visit each other in both Toronto and Edmonton, and I'll forever wish we could see each other again.

RIP Cousi, you will forever be missed
